first time sewer. I didn’t know how to thread the sewing machine needle when I started! Through her extreme knowledge and patience, I’ve now completed three beautiful quilts. She has a wealth of knowledge to share and keeps up with all the new trends that her industry has to offer. She is a true professional! Her classes are very relaxed, a fantastic way to unwind. "Shortly after arriving in Gander from South Africa I noticed the advert for a quilting class on Leah’s FAT QUARTER truck in the middle of town. As it was going to be my first-time quilting, I was a bit nervous and didn’t know what to expect. I shouldn’t have worried. Leah helped me to choose a beginner’s pattern and guided me in my choice of materials. What I appreciated most in her class is the space she gave me to make my own mistakes, sort them out with her help and her positive encouragement. Overall, there must have been between 10 to 15 ladies in each of her classes, but in a mysterious way Leah was always close by if one of us needed help. I loved to attend each and every class. Made new friends and will join her classes in the future. Leah is simply the BEST!!"
